Current Events:  
Northern Illinois Pagan Alliance's 5th Annual Community Picnic
May 10th, 2014 at Alpine Park, Rockford IL 
Setup: 10:00a
Picnic Open: 11:00a
Food Served: 12:30p

Come out and join us for our annual community picnic.  
Meat will be provided by the Northern Illinois Pagan Alliance. 
All other dishes will be handled potluck style:
For the Potluck, if you were born between:
 Dec 21 and March 20 - Salad
March 21 and June 20 -   Chips, dips, and other snacks
June 21 and September 20 – Dessert
September 21 and December 20 – Side Dish

Examples:
Side dishes: Baked beans, mac and cheese, a cooked or steamed vegetable dish of some sort
Salad:  Green salads, potato salad, coleslaw, bean salads - pretty much any cold salad.  Also veggie trays would fall in this category
Chips, dips, and other snacks: pretty much self-explanatory - but use your imagination on the dips.
Dessert: cookies, cakes, pies, brownies, and other sweets, also whole fruit, and fruit salads.

Bring your own beverages NO ALCOHOL.

Please bring your own non-disposable feastware.  A washing station of some kind will be provided, but bring bags to take dirties home in, just in case.  Also, please bring extras if you have them to help those who may not have any.

There will be a drum circle, so please bring your drum.
Bring your own chair.

Come, join us, party, and be merry.

Red Tent Events:
For any details on these events, please email the Rockford Red Tent Coordinators. All events are held at the  Unitarian Universalist Church 4848 Turner St. Rockford, IL 61107.

Please join the Women of the Rockford Red Tent on April 13, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Deale Hall at the Unitarian Universalist Church (4848 Turner St. Rockford, IL 61107) as we welcome spring with a Family Drum Circle. Bring a non-alcoholic beverage, munchies to share, and your drum or noisemaker. No childcare, but child friendly activities will be available for you to share with your children. (Please bring a small clean empty water bottle or small jar for the craft.)

Upcoming dates for meetings:   
May 4 – Juno – A Celebration of Mothers - Bring a short story or a poem that reminds you of your mother or grandmother and a dish to pass that reminds you of them as well.  We will be talking about how we feel about our mothers and grandmothers and what they have taught us and how they helped shape us into the women we are today.
July 13  - Family Picnic and Drum Circle - all are welcome!  Bring a picnic basket and everything you need for a picnic lunch and join us for lunch and drumming outside weather permitting!
